This imager is specially designed to detect the spectral-polarization patterns that are unique to disturbed earth, which are key indicators of the presence of landmines and buried explosives. This camera utilizes polarization and spectral data to identify and outline disruptions in the soil’s surface, a highly efficient and safe way to detect buried hazards and IEDs. This high-performing machine employs eight different filters for rapid imaging and can take twelve spectra-polar data sets a second. It is lightweight enough to be attached to a UAV or manned vehicle. The filters can be changed and adapted for various applications, whether defeating camouflage or detecting toxic industrial chemicals.
